Upon receiving this award, I would like to thank not only the organizers of this scholarship but also the sponsors as well, as they are part of the reason why I am able to receive an outstanding education at the esteemed institution in which I am at now. For those stellar students that are in need of financial aid, I believe that the Munroe Pinder Scholarship Award is a perfect opportunity to showcase their talents. While this award program has proved to be increasingly competitive over the years, I feel that it is important for as many students to put themselves out there, because as C.S. Lewis says, ‘You never know what you can do until you try, and very few try unless they have to.’

It was truly an honor to have been chosen as the first recipient of the Munroe-Pinder Award. Receiving this award has continually motivated me to perform all duties to the best of my abilities, ensuring that I listen for God’s voice in all the decisions that I make and waiting on his instruction on how I should behave. As a representative of the two God fearing men, Drs. Miles Munroe and Richard Pinder, I am reminded to work hard and remain disciplined in all areas of my life, serve God every step of the way. God’s will for my life will be fulfilled as I allow him to use me.
